Every Sunday morning our adults gather in a time of Biblical instruction which can only be classified as college level exploration and inspirational insight excavation into GOD’s word. Brother John Kirby, a man of godly wisdom beyond his years, leads this exciting Sunday morning schooling period.

The class is held every Sunday morning beginning at 9:30 AM. After a single hour in this class one comes away with an increased knowledge of GOD and His will for living the Christian life “out loud!”

Coffee is served as Christ the Savior is investigated and then integrated into the life of the well educated and prepared for action Christian.

The Garden of Eatin’ Food Bank is led by Sister Dorothy Bernal.

She and her sister Charlene have gracious hearts and Holy Spirit filled inexhaustible energy to maintain and distribute food and clothing to over 3000 people per month! Their efforts have led to the City of Hawaiian Gardens Collaborative to establish the Garden of Eatin’ Food Bank as the official Clothes Closet and Food Bank for the needy in the city. This is all brought to the public free of charge.

The Garden of Eatin’ Food Bank’s mission is to ensure that no one goes without food or clothing in and around the Hawaiian Gardens area. And to insure that each person who receives food and/or clothing will also be fed and clothed in the love of Christ Jesus!

The Garden of Eatin’ Food Bank accepts all donated cars, trucks, vans, boats and motorhomes as well. All donations are accepted and a tax receipt will be issued for each gift.

Starting little ones off on the right foot in life must be a fun adventure of the heart.

At the Garden of Giggles day care center the little ones get the love of Christ served up on platters of fun! While not a babysitting service, when your child spends the day at the Garden of Giggles you are assured that they are kept safe, secure, and thoroughly bathed in the love of Christ.

Each member of the Garden of Giggles staff has passed an intense background check, have met all of the state requirements of education, and each has a heart for serving Jesus by serving as a Garden of Giggles child specialist.

The minister of the Garden of Kingdom Kids is Sister Nikaela Henderson. With her Spirit-filled desire to ensure the success of the children of Emmanuel Church of Lakewood, she works tirelessly to provide an atmosphere of learning truth in an exciting and entertaining way.

Every Sunday morning after a time of joint worship with the church family, all the Kingdom Kids venture to their class rooms to study GOD’s word and how it relates to their young lives today! Sister Nikie insures that all Kingdom Kids know GOD’s truth for their lives.

Your little angels are under our loving care in the Garden of Little Angels. Sister Mary Cox, the Pastor’s wife, and her assistants take great joy in insuring the safety and security of your angels. Here your little angels are taught the stories of the Bible in words, videos, and games, all of which are designed to assist the spiritual growth of your angel! You can be certain that your little angels will receive the best of care in their own private Garden of Little Angels.

The minister of the Garden of Melody Makers is Brother Allen Adams. Brother Allen is a professional drummer with a penchant for gathering some of the best Christian talent to come and lead our time of music during worship. His love of the LORD and his desire to bring only the best before GOD affords everyone the opportunity to be brought to the throne of grace in music melody.

Our prayer minister is Sister Virty Pettigrew. She maintains the prayer list of the church family. The Garden of Prayer, shown on the web site home page, is the result of much prayer. It is a place where one can find a serene surrounding, a soothing water fountain, and comfortable seating in order to spend time in communication with GOD. The Garden of Prayer is open to all the church members, the members of all the churches on campus, and the Garden of Prayer is open to the general public 24/7. Any time day or night you can come and kneel before the cross, sit on the bench at the fountain, or recline on a comfortable deck chair. This is the place to come to clear the cobwebs of the mind and renew the spiritual communication lines with GOD.

This ministry is aimed at those single people in the family of the church who have children. A monthly meeting is held when all gather to listen to presentations on topics that have direct impact on their lives. Also, once a month on the third Saturday of the month, single moms may leave their little angels, those aged from 5 years and down, with the Garden of Little Angels. This is provided for a period of 5 hours so that mom can get out, see a movie, go shopping, or just take a nap!

The minister of the Garden of GOD’s Property Youth is Sister Mary Henderson. Sister Mary’s love for youth has been proven over a decade of committed service to the LORD. Her down to earth approach and her love of the LORD is radiantly evident by all the youth she has mentored and seen grow up in the LORD. Sister Mary is consistently ensuring that the youth she comes into contact with know the LORD as their Savior. Though dealing with youth of today may seem to be a hard task for some, for Sister Mary hers is a labor of love and made easier everyday by the power of the Holy Spirit.

If you are in high school and you are looking for a place where you and your friends can go and be safe and find others who want to be your friend then The Garden of GOD’s Property is the place for you. They hold meetings every Sunday morning beginning at 10:45 AM.  C U Thr!

Pastor Jose Gallegos has been in the ministry for 20 years now. His concern for the people of his native tongue, Mexico, has led him here to the East Lakewood Hawaiian Gardens neighborhood. Pastor Jose was born in La Habra, CA. He grew up in Mexico. After returning to the United States of America GOD called him into His kingdom in 1988. Pastor Jose attended seminary in Southern California. He currently is a full-time certified Day Care Teacher as well as Pastor of Iglesia Emanuel. He is married to his lovely wife Rosa, and they have four children.

Sister Marvena Moore is the minister of the Women of Worth. Each month on the third Saturday of the month at 6:00 PM the women of the church, visitors and their invited friends gather in a time of great themed food service and excellent teaching through dance, drama, and delicacies served from the word of GOD!  Each person in attendance is always treated with a special gift from Sister Marvena. Everyone in attendance always leaves with a sense of renewal and a degree of gladness because they came. You are invited to attend regardless of where you attend church. Even if you do not go to church, you are invited to come and make new friends with the rest of the Women of Worth!

Our ministry team is in charge of keeping the grounds clean, the bathrooms spotless and functioning, the electrical sparking, and the water kept warm and flowing for the baptismal.   They work tirelessly to ensure that the property of God is well maintained!
